Genevieve E. Roecker

Genevieve E. Roecker, 89, of Walbridge, Ohio died Saturday, November 5, 2011 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. Genevieve was born in Curtice, Ohio on August 20, 1922 to George W. and Anna M. Meier Hosley. She married Wilson F. Roecker in Ventura, CA November 13, 1943, and he survives. Genevieve was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who spent her time caring for her family. She was a loyal member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Millbury where she was a member of the Designing Women group. In years past, Genevieve had been a 4H leader and a Sunday school teacher at First St. John Lutheran Church, Toledo. She was always ready to enjoy a good card game or board game with family friends. Not too many years ago she was a Euchre champion in Florida. Survivors of Genevieve include her husband of 68 years, Wilson, children, John Bonnie Roecker, Sandra John Harmon, Sheree James Lambert, Georgiann McClure, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Howard, Donald, and Duane Hosley, and sisters, Virginia Busse and Edna Tesch. A funeral service for Genevieve will be conducted at 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner Rd. Northwood, OH 43619. Visitation will be in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa, from 2-4 6-8 PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Interment will take place in the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Perrysburg, OH. The family suggests that memorials in Genevieves name be directed to the Calvary Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd. Perrysburg, OH 43551.
