Genevieve Czerwinski, 91, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Genevieve was born on December 01, 1920 in Kaliska, Poland, the daughter of John and Rosalia Miszczuk. On December 27, 1942 in Poland she married John Czerwinski and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1983. Genevieve sewed as a teenager in Poland. She came to America in 1948 and later became a citizen of the United States. Genevieve lived in Gypsum, and Port Clinton for the rest of her life. She worked as a laborer for the U. S. Gypsum company for more than 20 years until her retirement. Genevieve loved to travel after retirement with her husband to Texas. She loved sewing and cooking. Survivors include: Sons: Richard Jan Czerwinski of Port Clinton, OH and John Sandra Czerwinski of Spring, TX; Grandchildren: Cori, Jacob, Sara, Rob, Matthew, Andrew & Elizabeth; 8 Great-Grandchildren. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, daughter: Anna MacPhedran, infant son in Poland and a sister. Visitation will be 6-8PM, Thursday, July 26, 2012 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, where prayers will be held at 9:30AM, Friday morning. A Graveside service will be conducted by Father John Missler at 10:00AM, Friday, July 27, 2012 in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
