Genevieve E. Black

Genevieve Estella Black, age 82, of Holland died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Genesis Healthcare in Swanton. She was born in Holland on September 30, 1934 to Clarence and Rosa (Drewyor) Winterfeld. On June 4, 1955, she married Richard Black who preceded her in death on April 14, 2009. Genevieve was a former member of Living Faith United Methodist Church and she enjoyed watching television, knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Valerie) Black and Danny (Mary) Black; daughter, Jennifer (Gary) Houston; grandchildren, Brittany, Kelly, Gary, Kieryn, Rhys, Isaac, Adam, Christa and Faith; brothers, Walter and Joe +Winterfeld; sisters, Orletta Jordan, Christena Kocinski, Rosella Niday and Janet Barnhart. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Black; granddaughter, Symonne Black; brothers, Floyd, Lloyd, John, Richard and Willie Winterfeld as well as her sister, Barb Goodman. Friends will be received on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 2-9 P.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Spencer Sharples Cemetery In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any contributions be made in her name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
