GENEVA SPARKS Geneva Sparks, age 86, formerly of Walbridge, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013, in Manor of Perrysburg. She was born on August 14, 1927, in Cannonburg, KY. to Hager and Mary Jane (Blevins) Hensley. Geneva worked as a waitress for many area restaurants, including the Skillet, The Beanery, Cannery Food in Curtice, and The Caboose. Geneva loved being silly, but most of all she loved and cherished the time she spent with her family. She is survived by her loving children, Ruth Potridge, Paul (Lennice) Hahn, Robert (Andrea) Hahn, Janet Hall, Betty Marie (Larry) DeGraw, and Russ Hahn; nineteen grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Katherine (Wayne) Garner. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William H. Hahn and William D. Sparks, children, Kenneth Hahn, Carol Hahn, Larry Hahn, Billy Hahn, and Helen Parker; sisters, Hazel Garner and Lenona Hensley. Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, from 2-9pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Thoughts and prayers to the family may be made at www.witzlershank.com.
