Geneva M. Roller of Whitehouse passed away peacefully Sunday, July 9, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born to Raymond and Helen (Mucha) Dennis. She went to St. Joseph Grade School in Maumee and graduated from Maumee High School in 1950. Geneva received her bachelor’s degree in education from Mary Manse College. She continued her education earning a master’s degree from the University of Toledo. Geneva taught in the Toledo Public School system for well over 40 years. She loved being a teacher and enjoyed the time spent with the children in TPS.
In 1961 she married the love of her life, Robert Roller. Together they raised two children. She loved her family and was proud of their achievements. She was a great wife, mom, and grandma. She loved horses and riding her entire life. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at Vail Meadows in Oregon.
She is survived by her son, Raymond (Teresa) Roller of Amarillo, TX; daughter Jenny (David) Rogers of Whitehouse; her pride and joy grandsons, Seth and Evan Rogers of Whitehouse. Also, nephews, Patrick (Annette) Carroll, Tim (Kay) Carroll, Don (Linda) Ollila, David (Debbie) Ollila, and Jim Ollila. Her husband, Robert, parents, Ray and Helen Dennis, sister, Patricia Carroll, and nephew, Rev. Scott Carroll preceded her in death.
The family will receive guests on Monday, July 17, 2023, from 9:30-10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway St., Maumee, OH 43537, with a Mass of Christian burial beginning at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
