Geneva Pinkston, 91, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born September 3, 1921, in Ashland, KY. Geneva worked as a riveter during WW II, in the Willow Run Plant in Ypsilanti, MI, and B & F Oxygen, in Toledo, for many years. She also worked as a machine operator at Syroco, where she retired in 1984. Geneva was a former member of Liberty Baptist Church. The most important thing in her life was her family, whom she loved very much. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Whitcomb; son, Ronald L Teri Pinkston; grandchildren, Sandy Walt Szczesny Whitcomb, Carolyn Mundwiler, Sherri Scott Partridge Whitcomb, Mark Nikki Whitcomb, Beth Chris Chatfield and Kate Pinkston; 6 great-grandchildren and her brother, Benjamin Bobbie Johnson and sister, Audie King. She was preceded in death by her husband, F.M. Pinky Pinkston and 6 brothers and sisters. Friends are invited to visit from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 12 noon until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue, west of Corey. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 River Road, Perrysburg, OH, 43551 or the charity of the donors choice.
