Geneva Pinkston

Geneva Pinkston, 91, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born September 3, 1921, in Ashland, KY. Geneva worked as a riveter during WW II, in the Willow Run Plant in Ypsilanti, MI, and B & F Oxygen, in Toledo, for many years. She also worked as a machine operator at Syroco, where she retired in 1984. Geneva was a former member of Liberty Baptist Church. The most important thing in her life was her family, whom she loved very much. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Whitcomb; son, Ronald L Teri Pinkston; grandchildren, Sandy Walt Szczesny Whitcomb, Carolyn Mundwiler, Sherri Scott Partridge Whitcomb, Mark Nikki Whitcomb, Beth Chris Chatfield and Kate Pinkston; 6 great-grandchildren and her brother, Benjamin Bobbie Johnson and sister, Audie King. She was preceded in death by her husband, F.M. Pinky Pinkston and 6 brothers and sisters. Friends are invited to visit from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 12 noon until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue, west of Corey.
