Geneva Penny Melvin

Geneva “Penny” Melvin, age 102, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 20, 2017. She was born April 8, 1915 in Toledo to the late James and Marie Truckee. She was also preceded in death by loving husband, Bruce; infant son, Bruce Douglas; and brother, Charles Truckee A graduate of DeVilbiss High School, Penny was a devoted homemaker. She will be remembered as a caretaker to all and for her volunteer work at St. Vincent Hospital and Mobile Meals. Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Lynn Bamman and Jacquie Oiler; grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Michele and Stephanie; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Thank you, Mom, for the special loving care to Michele and Stephanie. You will be forever in our hearts. To the Angels from hospice, Amanda and Dee, thank you for your tender, compassionate care.
