Gene R Sargent

Gene R. Sargent, 68, of Genoa, Ohio, died in the Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa, Ohio on April 26, 2008. Gene was born on December 11, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Ronald E. and Helen. Hanes Sargent. For 14 years Gene was a beautician where he owned and operated the Looking Glass Salon in the Colony of Toledo. Gene would later retire in 1973. Gene was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa. Gene was a loyal and giving friend to many. Most of all Gene loved his family, and will be greatly missed by all. Surviving Gene are his daughter, Jeanne Kenneth Beck of Toledo, Ohio, son, Richard Cindy Sargent of Winder, Georgia, mother, Helen Sargent of Genoa, 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by his father Ronald E, sister Barbara Rodgers, brothers, Ronald W., Robert, and Thomas Sargent, and good friend Giffo Cottle. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the Genoa Retirement Village for all their loving care and support for Gene. Services will be conducted Thursday May 1, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Genoa., OH. Visitation for Gene will be conducted on Tuesday April 29, 2008 from 5-8 pm and Wednesday April 30, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, OH.
