Gene A. Reeder

Gene Geno A. Reeder, 47, of Elmore, Ohio, died in his home, Wednesday, October 23, 2008. Gene was born June 2, 1961, in Toledo, the son of Donald M. and Beatrice M. Kille Reeder. He was a graduate of Woodmore High School, class of 1979, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Gene worked at the Ohio Turnpike Blue Herron Plaza and was also a sales rep for various companies. Gene enjoyed music very much and played with various bands, currently playing the keyboard with Elmore Fudd. He also enjoyed reading and working in his yard and garden. Gene was a past member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Genoa but in later years attended Bethel United Brethren Church in Elmore. Gene is survived by his parents, Don and Bea Reeder of Genoa, brother, Wesley Kathy A. Reeder of Millbury, sister, Melody A. Gardner of Port Clinton, nephews, Ronald Lisa Potter II, Thomas Gardner, Justin Mininger, and Alan Reeder, and great nephew, Ronald Potter III. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sylvan and Marie Reeder and Ralph and Edith Kille. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 27, 2008, in St. Johns UCC, Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Gene may be directed to the Harris-Elmore EMS or the American Diabetes Assoc.
