Gene Hugg, Jr.

GENE RICHARD HUGG, JR. Gene R. Hugg, Jr., 49, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at his home. Gene was born June 15, 1968 in Toledo, Ohio. Gene worked in the sales department at Belle Tire for numerous years. He was a member of Maumee United Methodist Church, where he served as an active leader in the Awesome God class. Gene was an avid Notre Dame fan. He loved NASCAR and boating and was an extremely hard-worker. He also enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events and dance recitals. Gene is survived by his cherished children, Kristi, Heather and Steven; his mother, Karen (David) Miller and her children, Kyle Kervin and Megan Miller; his father, Eugene Hugg, Sr. and his children, Dena, Mick, LaDawna, Dee Dee and Josh; his brothers and sisters in the Stewart family; Scott, Amanda, Jimmy, Ashley and Laura; grandparents, Willis and Lola Fincial; close friend, James Stultz and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10 A.M.- Noon at Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett Street, Maumee, OH 43537, with a Celebration of Gene’s life beginning at Noon, with Pastor Joanie Schillings, officiating. The family would like to thank David Miller, his devoted caregiver for his unconditional care and support.
