GRAY COOPER TAYLOR Gary Taylor, age 69, of Deland, Fl., and formerly of Toledo, passed away on Thursday March 1, 2012 at Hospice of Volusia Flager in Florida. Mr. Taylor was born in Liberty, Kentucky on May 28, 1942 to Everett & Virginia (Warren) Taylor. A U.S. Army Viet Nam Veteran, he worked as a Laborer for G.M. Powertrain for over 32 years retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Paragon Lodge #788. He held all offices in the Lodge was Master of the Lodge in 2001, as well as a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Member, Valley of Toledo and a Royal Arch Mason. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving is his son Greg Taylor; daughter Christine Strausbaugh; grandchildren, Gregory and Olivia Strausbaugh. Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 4-8 pm Tuesday, where funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
