Gary Louis Sass Senior

Gary Louis Sass Sr., 70, of Oregon, OH passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017. He was born on July 24, 1947 to Robert L. and Barbara (Harmon) Sass in Toledo, Ohio. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the VVA, DVA, AMVETS,VFW 3338, American Legion, and the Lucas County Memorial Day Association. Gary is preceded in death by his infant son, Stephen Gabriel; grandparents, William + Evelyn Harmon and Louis T. + Elsie Sass; and father, Robert L. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Christie; mother, Barbara; sister, Sandra Everhart;children, Gary Jr., Jeshua, Nicole, Jessica, Robert; grandchildren, Eddie, Evelyn, Alex, Haley, Emily, Erica, Sara, Quinn, and Zachary. Visitation will take place on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Hoeflinger-Shank Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, OH 43616 from 4 pm – 9 pm with a VFW Service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 10:00 am until the start of funeral services at 12:00 pm including Military Honors. Gary said, “Look to your left, look to your right, this is your family now”.
