Gary N. Goff, 74, of Lacarne, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, Ohio. He was born on September 21, 1950, in Port Clinton, a son of the late Billy and Arlene (Rickner) Goff.
Gary married Patricia Sanderson, on September 30, 1972, and together they shared over 52 years of love, laughter, and companionship. Gary was a proud father and an even prouder grandfather, cherishing every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.
He worked at Fenner Dunlop in Port Clinton for more than 30 years, retiring in 2009. In his retirement, Gary enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including fishing, gardening, and shooting pool. He was an active member of the Ottawa County Billiard League and the Eagles Lodge, where he made countless friends and was a familiar face in the community. Gary was known for his love of life, his friendly demeanor, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patty; daughter, Tina (Bryan) Hurless, Lewis Center, Ohio; son, Adam (Jenny) Goff, Port Clinton; and proud Papa to his grandchildren, Wyatt Kish, Meredith Hurless, Lydia, and Hailey Goff; and brother, Darrel Goff, Sandusky, Ohio. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Jason Goff.
Gary was a friend to all and will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and his unwavering devotion to his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9-11 am followed by the Funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Jimmy Comstock officiating.
