Gary E. Gabriel

Gary E. Gabriel, 87, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Darlington Nursing Center. He was born to the late Albert and Ruby (Inman) Gabriel on August 3, 1929 in Toledo. Gary was a graduate of Waite High School and went on to serve our country as a member of the United States Air Force. He graduated from The University of Toledo where he later earned his law degree. Gary practiced law for nearly 40 years, serving in private practice and as a Municipal Court Judge and Prosecutor in Lucas County. In his free time, Gary enjoyed traveling to various locations, Detroit Tigers baseball and going to the theatre. He was also a member of the Sanford-Collins Masonic Lodge. Gary was preceded in death by his son, Lt. Col. Grant Gabriel; and grandson, Kevin Carlson. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Steve Babcock) Carlson; and grandchildren; David Gabriel, Alex Gabriel, Kristin (Henry Imber) Carlson, Gregory (Erica) Carlson, Kristina (Corey) Lewis Lechlak, Scott Babcock, Kyle Babcock, Matthew Babcock and Anna (Moe) Moubarak.
