Gary Lee Castor

Gary Lee Castor, 82, of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026.

He was born on February 24,1944 in Wauseon, Ohio to the late Theron and Zelma (Goldsmith) Castor.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Denise; his children, Brian, Melissa (David), Tammy (Bobby) Horton; eight grandchildren; and his brother, Tom (Sunny). Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Peg Spratt.

He was incredibly loving and supportive after his wife’s heart surgery. He carried the weight of the household chores, errands, and grocery shopping without ever complaining once.

Gary loved swapping old stories and enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane. He enjoyed watching westerns and had a massive, sweet tooth especially for York peppermint patties and chocolate covered peanuts.

Gary worked at Jeep Corporation in the body shop for 29 years prior to his retirement.

His memory will live on in our hearts.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10-11 am at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. The Funeral Service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home.
