Gary Lee Boyd

Gary Lee Boyd, age 74, of Maumee, Ohio died on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice. He was born to Andrew and Emma Skaggs Boyd on August 17, 1939 in Ironton, Ohio. Gary worked for Metal Forming and Coining Inc. He retired from Maumee High School where he worked as a custodian and all the kids called him Pops. He was always there to help someone in need or to spin a great story that left you wondering if it really happened. Gary liked to fish, hunt and spend countless hours tinkering on various projects in the garage. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rae Ann Sanders; his parents; five brothers and one sister. Gary is survived by his sons, Gary Yvette and Daniel; daughter, Paula Sund; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Charles; and sister, Karnell Ondrus. Friends may gather at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
