Gary R. Minister Boling, Sr.

Minister Gary Robert Boling Sr., 69, of Port Clinton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2011. He was born on December 11, 1942 in Portsmouth, OH, the son of Carl and Pearl Boling. On August 26, 1960 in Port Clinton, OH, he married Rosemary Estep and she survives. Gary was the minister of the Ottawa County Church of Christ for almost 20 years. He had also worked at Standard Products for 33 years and retired from the Port Clinton City School District. His greatest accomplishments, were being married to his loving wife for 51 years and becoming a minister. His life was his children, grandchildren and his ministry. During his ministry, he touched many lives. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Wife: Rosemary Boling of Port Clinton, OH; Sons: Gary Robert Boling Jr. of Navarre, FL, Darrell Susan Boling of Sandusky, OH and Dale Tanya Boling of Avon, OH; Grandchildren: Melissa Nick Tone, Zachary, Jonathan, Jacob, Matthew, Michael, Lauren and Steven Boling; Sisters: Betty Turner of Port Clinton, OH and Shirley Russell Bryant of Catawba Island; Brother: Elmer Larry Rita Pugh of Fulton, MO. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers: John, Malcom, Raymond and Glenn Pugh.. Visitation will be 2-4 6-8PM, Monday, January 02, 2012 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted by Minister Jeffery Sherman at 10:30AM, Tuesday, January 03, 2012 at the Church of Christ, Port Clinton, OH. Private burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions in memory of Gary, be given to the Church of Christ.
