Gary Lee Bodi

Gary Lee Bodi, 60, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on August 12, 2023 at Promedica Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Ohio. He was born on January 27, 1963 in Port Clinton, the son of Robert and Dalah (Steele) Bodi.

Gary was a 1982 graduate of Port Clinton High School. Following graduation, he worked as a dishwasher at the former Mon Ami Restaurant, Frisch’s Big Boy, and Ala Carte Café in Port Clinton. He was also an employee of Riverview Industries (RVI) and was told he was an excellent employee. He was a bicycle enthusiast and enjoyed working on bikes and going to the bike shop. An avid animal lover, Gary’s pride and joy were his guinea pigs. He had a great sense of humor and could make others laugh and smile even on their worst days.

Survivors include his father, Robert; sisters, Christine Bodi-Jenkins, Oak Harbor, Ohio, Marilyn Moritz, Port Clinton, Ohio, Lynn Bodi, Port Clinton, Ohio; brothers, Brian Bodi, Oak Harbor, Ohio and Kenny Bodi; Nephews, David Beaver (Kerra Davis), Eric Spielman (Cassie Gasper), Charlie Moritz; and Niece, Alexandra Wilburn. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dalah; sister, Becky Bodi; brother, Kevin Bodi; and nephew, Scottie Moritz.

Per Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or services.

Memorial contributions in Gary’s memory made be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 Sand Road, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory in Port Clinton.
