Garry Marc Saccone, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, at the Toledo Hospital surrounded by family and friends. A longtime resident of Toledo and Maumee, Ohio, Garry was born in Cleveland and attended John Marshall High School.
Garry, a devoted father and husband, was married to his wife, Diane Saccone, for 45 years. He was active in the Erie Shores Council of Boy Scouts of America and volunteered at Pioneer Scout Reservation and Camp Miakonda. He was an avid hiker and outdoorsman.
He was a longtime pharmacist and manager at Toledo Hospital and other health systems in Northwest Ohio. He is a graduate of the University of Toledo, holding both a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration.
Garry was preceded in death by his mother, Helen, and father, Sam. He is survived by his wife, Diane; and sons, Nick (Kimberly), Mike (Kristina), and Sam (Susie); his two grandchildren, Isaac and Lou; and his siblings, Joanne Roff, Marlene (Dick) Berger, Donna (Henry) Eikens, and Glenn Saccone. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Joanie Prezioso, and close friends, Dave “Bubba” and Angela Scardina, and Marty and Kathy McCabe.
