Garnet I. Willow, 90, of Dearborn, Michigan, and formerly of McLean, Virginia, died Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Henry Ford Village, Dearborn, Michigan. She was born February 26, 1921, in Rocky Ridge, Ohio, to George and Bertha Dibert Hacker. She was married to Commander Albert D. Willow, who preceded her in death June 26, 1995. Garnet was a veteran of the United States Army, where she served as a nurse in the Army Nurse Corps, achieving the rank of Colonel. Garnet was also a member of the Fairlington Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Garnet is survived by many nieces and nephews. Her husband and all 11 siblings preceded her in death. Graveside services for Garnet will be held Saturday, October 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Limestone Cemetery, Graytown, Ohio. Memorial contributions for Garnet may be directed to the donors choice. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory of Oak Harbor is handling the arrangements.
