Gareth "Gary" Jay Eenigenburg

Gareth “Gary” J. Eenigenburg, 88, of Fostoria, Ohio and formerly of Elmore, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria, Ohio. He was born on July 25, 1935, in Fremont, Michigan, the son of the late George and Alice (Meyering) Eenigenburg. He married Barbara Jean Martin on April 9, 1955, and she survives.

Gary was an owner and operator truck driver and worked for Associated Truck Lines where he retired from in 1983 after 30 years. He had a strong faith and loved his Lord. Gary was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Fostoria, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Barb; daughters, Evelyn A. Doyle, Ashville, OH, Carol (Brian) Lieske, Fostoria, OH, Barbara Hanna, Toledo, OH, Mary Ann (Thomas) Stone-Meek, Northwood, OH; son, Jay (Gloria) Eenigenburg, Millbury, OH; brother, Donald Eenigenburg, Grant, MI; sisters, Hope Shrock, Fort Wayne, MI, Gwen (Roland) Pinter, Dundee, Michigan; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and former son-in-law, Dennis Doyle. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joanne Stam and Louise Williams; sons-in-law, David Stone, Sr and Mike Hanna; grandson, David Stone, Jr. and great grandson, Damon Lieske.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio with funeral services to follow at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be in Clay Township Cemetery.
