Gale Ann Pocs

Gale Ann Pocs, 68, of Curtice, OH passed away early Thursday, April 20, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 9, 1954 in Oregon, OH to Galen and Ethel (Benadum) Purney. On February 20, 1971 in Genoa, OH she married Joseph F. Pocs, and he survives. Gale worked as a homemaker. Her family was her world, and her grandkids were her pride and joy. Gale enjoyed baking, cooking, crafting, sewing, camping, and going to Cedar Point and riding the rollercoasters. Some of her specialty dishes that she enjoyed making were chicken paprikas, pigs-in-blanket, fried cabbage with homemade noodles, and Hungarian pastries. Gale enjoyed drinking coffee and spending time with her family. Her presence is going to be missed within the family because she was the heart of the family. Her daily calls and texts to family and checking in with everyone meant the world to them.

In addition to her loving husband of 52 years, Joseph, she is survived by her children, Amy (David) Behlmer, AliSha (Kenneth) Fry, Adam (Tiffany) Pocs, Ashley (Ky) Crabtree, and Andrea (Zach Kopp) Pocs, 13 grandkids, Cody, Autumn, Emily, Brayden, Bentley, Allisyn, Brianna, Madisyn, Kaylee, Joey, Kaia, Jamison, and Eliana, and her fur babies that she loved dearly, Chica, Ruby, and Fefe (a.k.a. "Spoiled Puppy Asshole"). She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Payton, and brother, Ronald Purney.

Visitation for Gale will be Monday, April 24, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Burial will follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Gale may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
