Gail M. Sype

Gail Sype, age 69, passed away on March 27, 2025. She was born on November 18, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, to Martin and Ethel Weiler) Duck. Gail attended Central Catholic High School in Toledo, Ohio, and earned an associate degree from Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio.

Gail became a Radiography Transcriber and worked for Toledo Hospital for over 25 years. During that time, she met George Sype, and they were married in 1995. They shared a mutual love for dogs and enjoyed raising and training working dogs. She belonged to the Toledo Kennel Club. Gail especially loved her furry friends, Lopez and Harlie (her heart dog), whom she joined in heaven, and their current dog, Dealer, who was by her side until the end.

Most importantly, Gail enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Creating memories, shopping, meeting up for dinner, and spending time together were priorities.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, George.

She was preceded by her son, Michael C. Floro; and her parents.

A gathering will be held at Sujkowski Walker Funeral Home (830 Lime City Rd.) on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a local animal rescue in Gail’s honor.
