Gail M. Smith

Gail M. Smith, 66, of Catawba Island, OH, passed away, Friday, February 28, 2014 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH, surrounded by her loving family. Gail was born on November 07, 1947 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of John and Audrey Richmond Pilkington. On August 30, 1968, in Detroit, MI, she married Roger S. Smith and he preceded her in death on August 04, 2009. Gail was a good and creative soul. She loved taking care of and spending time with her family and friends. Gail will be greatly missed. Survivors include: Daughters: Lisa Marie Smith and Laura Ann Smith; Sister: Judy Bill Nestra; Brother-in-law: Dr. Donald Donna Smith and many loving nieces and nephews. Gail was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Cremation has taken place under the direct care of Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. A Memorial service will be at 1:00pm, Saturday, April 5, 2014 in Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in memory of Gail may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
