Gail “Rocky” Harris

February 4, 1965 — June 17, 2025

Gail "Rocky" Harris, a resident of Northwood, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 17th at the age of 60, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family and closest friends.

Rocky was born in Toledo on February 4th, 1965 to Clifton and Ruth Harris. After moving down to Florida, Rocky recalled fondly his childhood spent in the Florida heat adventuring with friends and chasing gators amongst many other stories. After moving back to Ohio during his young adulthood, Rocky pursued a career in HVAC and started a family shortly thereafter. He worked as an HVAC mechanic for 42 years and was currently working for J L Mechanical, and often expressed his pride to work for a company he so highly regarded. Rocky married his wife Mary in May of 2011 and spent the next eight years enjoying life to the fullest while assuming his role as Papa.

Rocky was the epitome of a family man; both someone who always wanted to be around his family, but also someone his family always wanted to be around. In his later years he deeply appreciated the love and happiness his grandchildren specifically provided him. Rocky was a man of deep, unwavering faith and spoke openly about his relationship with Jesus. Of Rocky's many talents, some that will be missed especially were his love for grilling and cooking, as well as his knack for adventuring on the Gulf Shores, and his famous love for music. Rocky had a passion for sports and enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

To cherish his memory, Rocky is survived by his children born from the union with Lisa Cisterino; Andrea Harris, Nicholas Harris, and Lindsey (Dustin) Fincher; grandchildren, Tristan, Dahlia, Levi, Henley, Brooks, and Harper; siblings, Pam Taylor and Jim (Laura) Harris; niece, Deirdra and nephew, Andy and several special friends including Mike Burgess, Al Disher, Dave Shuman, Mario Duran, Landon Schuster, and his significant other, Nicole and his buddy Axyl. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Ruth Harris, his loving wife Mary Harris, and his best girl and canine companion, Zena.
