G. Joan Winke,76, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 19, 1940 in Keokee, VA, the daughter of John Brown and Sarah Marie (Wells) Calton. On September 26, 1970, in Port Clinton, OH, she married Gerald M. Winke and he preceded her in death in November 1998. Joan was a member of the Port Clinton Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are: Daughter: Teresa (Rudy) Polk; Son: Chuck (Karol) Summers; Step-Sons: Tony & Tracy Winke; Grandchildren: Brandie (Rick) Cassel, Mark (Jamie) Burkholder & Andrea (Mike) Kohlman; Brothers: Gerald (Sue) Calton & Jack Calton; Sister: Johnnie Ruth (Danny) Davidson; Great-Grandchildren: Isaac, Adam & Viola Cassel, Eian, Elijah & Jalynn Burkholder and Michaella & Olivia KohlmanJoan was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Kevin R. Summers and sister-in-law: Vicky Calton. Visitation will be 10AM to 12(Noon), Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, followed by the funeral service at 12:00(noon).
