Frederick Henry Eichler

Frederick Henry Eichler, age 74 of Port Clinton, Ohio went to heaven with Jesus on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on December 9, 1943 in Port Clinton, Ohio. Frederick was a graduate of Attica High School in 1963. He was in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967. Frederick was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns. He was also crazy about Western shows and movies on television. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Gerald Eichler from Columbus, Ohio; daughter-in-law Melissa (Zaebst) Eichler; sisters, Ruth (Bud) Stonerook and Mary (Dale) Stonerook both from Isle St. George, North Bass Island, Ohio; and grandchildren, Garrett Eichler and Mallory Eichler. Also surviving are numerous nephews and nieces. Frederick was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Eichler; parents, Lawrence & Loretta (Floro) Eichler, and siblings Opal (Eichler) Muirhead and John Eichler. A Celebration of Life Gathering for Frederick will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15 at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton. Interment will be at the North Bass Island Cemetery, Isle St. George, North Bass Island, Ohio at a later date.
