Frederick Deeb

Fred Deeb passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 82.

Fred was born in Toledo, Ohio, on June 20, 1943, to George and Elizabeth Deeb. After graduating from Ohio University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he took a job at Finkbeiner, Pettis & Strout. He stayed with the firm through its transition to Arcadis, remaining with the same company for his entire career until his retirement.

Growing up, Fred spent summers at Wampler's Lake with his family, enjoying time with his many cousins. In his later years, he enjoyed skiing, painting and going to the casino. He looked forward to meeting friends at Rick's City Diner several times a week. Fred valued his time with family at gatherings and cookouts. He was a fabulous cook, and his family will miss his signature kousa.

Fred was always looking for a way to bring joy to those around him. His quick wit and sense of humor will be deeply missed by his friends, colleagues, and family.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Marcia Deeb; niece, Stephanie (Doug) Blair; nephew, Jeff Smith; great-nephew, Jason Blair; special friend, Linda King; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth Deeb; and his sister, Carol Myatt and brother-in-law Ed Myatt.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Flower Hospital for their care and support.

Friends and family are invited to visit at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2770 Central Ave Toledo, OH 43606, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be a funeral service with a luncheon following. Interment will be private at Toledo Memorial Park.
