Frederick Wynne Burgie

Frederick Wynne Burgie age 89 of Toledo passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at Ebied Hospice Residence, Sylvania. He was born June 9, 1927 in Toledo to Frederick William and Alethia (Reichert) Burgie. Fred attended DeVilbiss High School and graduated from Ottawa Hills High School and also attended the University of Toledo. He was a veteran of the US Navy where he was a medical corpman. Fred retired as Sales Manager at Doehler Jarvis in 1995 after over 30 years employment. He was an avid golfer and a former member of Inverness Country Club, a current member of Highland Meadows Golf Club and a member of Downtown Coaches Club. Preceded in death by his wives Betty Marshall Burgie and Eleanor Minor Burgie, he is survived by his daughter Beth (John) Ringger; grandchildren Nicole and Brandon (Krista) Skiver; great grandchildren Hunter, Grayson and Ainsley Skiver; step-sons Jeffrey and Jim (Paula) Minor; step-grandchildren Jordan, Michael, Matthew, and Max Minor; brothers Rev. Richard (Arlene) and Rev. Robert Burgie; sister Joanne Mezger; and many nephews and nieces. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 in St. Josephs Catholic Church 5373 Main St. Sylvania at 10 AM. The family suggests memorials to Ebeid Hospice 5300 Harroun Rd.
