Freda W. Zibbel

Freda W. Zibbel, 90, of Oak Harbor, died early Thursday morning, May 13, 2010, in Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, MI. She was born October 4, 1919, in Carroll Township, to Charles H. and Minnie Miller Miller. On May 30, 1941, she married Arthur J. Zibbel, who preceded her in death on March 21, 1995. After 31 years, Freda retired in 1988 as Assistant Vice President from the National Bank of Oak Harbor. She was a longtime member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor, where she was active in the Women of the Church, a charter member of the Altar Guild, and served as chairperson of St. John Endowment Trust Fund. Freda is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Ann Charles Olszewski Zibbel of St. Joseph, MI, son, Charles J. Kathleen Zibbel of Concord Twp., OH, grandchildren, Monica Rae Seth Sederholm, Kristin Nicole Chris Gampfer, and Melissa Marie Zibbel, and two great grandchildren, Ryan Christopher Gampfer and Xander Charles Sederholm. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Walter Carl Miller. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2010, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, with interment to follow in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Visitation will be Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 2-8 p.m. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Endowment Trust Fund at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor.
