Franklin G Renders

Franklin G. Renders, 97, of Maumee, Ohio and formerly of Presque Isle, Michigan passed away on March 15, 2017 at the Elizabeth Scott Community. He was born in Detroit, Michigan to Frank and Alma (Kaltz) Renders on November 30, 1919. He worked as an Electrician at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport for the majority of his career. Frank was a Staff Sgt. in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was also involved in many organizations including Presque Isle Harbor Association, St. Bernard Parish in Alpena, MI where he was an usher, the American Legion and VFW in Allen Park, MI, and the IBEW Union. Frank is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, June R. Markie and Elizabeth Hayes. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; sons, Michael J. (Brenda) and Charles F. (Jill) Renders; daughters, Kathryn M. (Dr. Richard) Nelson and Patricia A. (Daniel) Ugorcak; and grandchildren, Michael (Joanna) and Christopher (Andrea) Renders and Teresa (John) Knoll. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH on Saturday, March 18th, 2017. Interment will be at a later date in the Presque Isle Township Cemetery, Presque Isle, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joan of Arc Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
