Franklin R. Dubbert, 76, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Monday, June 21, 2010 at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 05, 1933 in Port Clinton, OH, the son of Frank and Esther J. Moull Dubbert. On June 27, 1953 in Port Clinton, OH, he married Joyce M. Kirk and she survives. Frank was the president of Ohler & Holzhauer for 41 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH, where he also served as a trustee. Frank took great pride in restoring his 1930 Ford Model A. He loved to travel. Frank loved fireworks and especially enjoyed the 4th of July. He was known as the L.T.D. Santa and Uncle Sam. Frank was a member of the 10 oclock coffee group. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Frank will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 56 years: Joyce M. Dubbert of Port Clinton, OH; Daughter: Kay Howard Stierwalt of Fremont, OH; Son: David Lisa Dubbert of Port Clinton, OH; Grandchildren: Dominic Dubbert, Elysia Dubbert, Joseph Stierwalt and Kathryn Stierwalt; Sister: Linda Clair Jeremy of Port Clinton, OH. Frank was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 5-8PM, Thursday, June 24, 2010 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader at 11:00AM, Friday, June 25, 2010 at Trinity United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Frank may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church.
