Franklin E. Blackwood, Jr. age 65 of Sylvania died Sunday, November 4, 2018 in The Toledo Hospital. He was born March 14, 1953 in Toledo to Franklin E. and Betty Blackwood, Sr. Frank was a man of many trades, he was a supervisor for Toledo Floor Resurfacing, an auto mechanic who loved cars, especially fast ones, a janitor and a restaurant owner who formerly operated Mad Anthonys in Waterville and also Blackwoods Grille. More than anything he was a family man enjoying time spent with his children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and sister Cathy Austin, he is survived by his children Cindy (David) Canfield, Franklin (Barb) Blackwood, Keith (Amy) Blackwood, Jessica (Ben) Hall, Amanda Blackwood and Matthew Blackwood; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister Linda Digby; and brothers Timothy, Gary and Randy Blackwood. Friends may visit the family at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Wednesday from 2-8 pm where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 am. Burial will be private. The family would like to thank Janice Knab, The Toledo Hospital doctors and nurses, Medical ICU and the Dialysis Center for their care of Frank and the support to the family.
