Frank N. Verb, 65, of Oak Harbor, OH died Monday, July 20, 2009 at his residence. He was born on October 10, 1943 in Toledo, OH to Frank and Alice Hauck Verb. On December 27, 2001 in Oregon, OH he married Sheila Skinner, and she survives. Frank graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors degree in business administration. Frank was retired but worked as an engineer for Johns Manville in Waterville, OH. He enjoyed carpentry, working on wood boats, and owned a 1956 Matthews boat. Frank loved the water including swimming and scuba diving, along with being a master diver. He loved his OSU football and was an alumni member of The Ohio State University. Frank loved spending time with his family, especially his 3 nephews: Jamie, Jason, and Mike. In addition to his loving wife, Sheila, he is survived by his brothers: John Judy Verb and Bob Diane Verb; sister: Charlene Verb, nephews: Jamie Riffle, Jason Riffle, Mike Riffle, Bob Verb, and Joe Verb; nieces: Jody Verb and Betsy Verb; great nieces: Gracey Riffle and Isabela Riffle; step-son: Les Bowyer; step-daughter: Angie Jordan; and grandchildren: Sydney, Abby, Trevin, and one-on-the-way: Tyson. He was preceded in death by his parents and son: Johnny Verb. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Locust Point Cemetery, Oak Harbor with a bereavement meal immediately following at Frank & Sheilas home, 4939 N. SR 2, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be given to The Ohio State Alumni Association or the Diabetes Association. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor is assisting the family with arrangements.
