Frank Joseph Madachy

Frank Joseph Madachy, 54, of Maumee, passed away Wednesday morning on April 4, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospital. Frank was born July 24, 1963 in Toledo to Frank and Eleanor (Hart) Madachy. He was a 1981 graduate of Waite High School. Frankie had an extensive mechanical career, starting his career as a young man at his fathers business, FM Maintenance & Repair, having learned to weld at the age of 3. He also worked many years for P&W Painting, Induco, J&G and then G2000. He was also an inventor, holding several US patents. Franks favorite pastime was fishing, and he enjoyed eating a variety of seafood. Frank is survived by his parents; love of his life of 36 years, Lauri Barhite; sisters, Eleanor (Donald) Avenelle and Mary (Kevin) St. John of Toledo, and Julia Chio of Genoa; niece, Amanda Chio of Chicago; lifetime best friend, Scott Yoder of Holland; and furbaby, Mylow. Frankie was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie Madachy. Visitation will be at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 2 until 9 p.m. and Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 12 until 2 p.m. Services will begin at 2p.m. in the funeral home.
