Frank J. Lohse

Frank J. Lohse age 74, passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Frank was born in Toledo on February 16, 1935 to Lincoln and Johanna Lohse. He was employed for 49 years in the printing trade as a typographer and a member of the CWA Typographical Union #63. Frank retired in February 2000 from Toledo Ticket Co. Frank and Jeanne enjoyed traveling throughout the US, Canada, Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe, recently completing a big Mediterranean cruise. Frank was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Maumee for over 40 years where he enjoyed his ushering duties and the friends and fellowship of the Monthly Mens Luncheon Group. He carried on his love of the printing trade by creating numerous beautiful photo albums of family and his travels. He also had a hobby in model trains. He will be sadly missed by his wife and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeanne; sons, Thomas Margie Lohse, Jerry Virginia Lohse and Jeff Julie Lohse; daughter in-law, Lynneth Lohse; grandchildren, Ehren, Megan, Andrea, Allison, Alex and Amy. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Lohse. Frank was very proud of his three sons and his daughters in-law, their accomplishments and enjoyed his 6 grandchildren and attended their many activities. A memorial service will be held on Friday January 8, 2010 at 3:00 pm at St. Pauls Lutheran Church 112 E. Wayne St., Maumee. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
