Frank Gacsal, 83, of Elmore, Ohio, died in his home Wednesday evening, January 4, 2012. He was born January 1, 1929, in Blairmont, Ohio, to James and Margrete Serfozo Gacsal. On January 23, 1960, in Toledo, Ohio, he married Roberta Wyckhouse and she survives. Frank worked as a machinist and furnace operator for GM on Alexis Rd. in Toledo for almost 30 years retiring in 1990. After retirement he worked part time at Hirzel Cannery in Northwood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and belonged to the Elmore American Legion Post #279. He was also a member of St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church in Elmore, the Eagles, Toledo Swiss Club and G.B.U. at Oak Shade Grove. Surviving Frank are his wife, Roberta, his daughter, Deborah Kim Gacsal of Genoa and son Frank J. Jacci Gacsal of Toledo, grandson, Robert C. Kreinbihl, sister, Margaret Larry Cauffield of Maumee, and 11 nieces and nephews. His parents and brothers, Joseph, James and Andy Gacsal, preceded him in death. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2012, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2012, at St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church, 340 Toledo St., Elmore, with interment to follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Perrysburg. Memorials for Frank may be given to St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church, American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or to the donors choice.
