Frank D. Czerniejewski Sr., age 71, was born on September 30, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio and passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Flower Memorial Hospital, Sylvania, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. where he earned rifle and pistol expert. As a graduate of Macomber High School, Frank was employed with Chrysler Jeep as a Union Steward with over 30 years of service. Frank was a wonderful husband, father, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren that he adored. He enjoyed all Cleveland sports with the Cleveland Browns as his favorite. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Mel and Leona Dobrzyniecki. Surviving are his beautiful wife of 46 years, Linda (Oliver) Czerniejewski; children, Thomas (Trellis), Frank D. (Loriann), Heidi (Brent) Parquette and Melvin (Michelle) Czerniejewski; brother, Larry (Pat) Czerniejewski; grandchildren, Sarah, Trey and Katie Czerniejewski and his best friend and loyal companion Max. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, Ohio from 2:00-9:00 pm., with Rosary recital Tuesday evening. Funeral services on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 10:15, followed by his Mass of Christian burial, 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment services will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Contributions in Frank's memory may be given to the Toledo Humane Society.
