Frank Cusenza, 52, of Perrysburg, OH passed away Friday, April 21, 2023. He was born February 17, 1971, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, the son of Jerome and Marie Cusenza.
He is survived by his beloved sons Vincent and Jack, their mother Jennifer Settle, fiancé Alison Frye and her daughters Abigail and Mackenzie, brother Joseph (Christie) Cusenza, nephews Andrew, Ben, and Dominic Cusenza, nieces Julia and Jessica Molnar, his Aunt Fran (the late Gerald) DesRosiers, and sister-in-law Patty (Erin) Molnar. He was predeceased in death by his adoring parents Jerome and Marie, and younger brother Jerry Cusenza.
He was a 1989 graduate of Sterling Heights High School and graduated from Walsh College with a degree in Computer Information Systems. Frank worked for Maritz Research, and most recently at Marathon Petroleum Company in Findlay, Ohio as a Learning and Development Consultant.
Frank’s greatest achievement in life was his two sons and was exceedingly proud of all they accomplished. No sacrifice was too great to provide for his sons. He coached them in sports when they were younger and loved watching Lions football and movies together. Frank was the life of the party and always had a trick up his sleeve to make every gathering memorable. Frank had several catch phrases he used often that will forever live in our memories- “Earn the day,” and “Just let the night happen.” He cherished nights out with friends, 80’s music, concerts, poker games, and true-crime podcasts. He loved entertaining, throwing detailed theme parties, and planning activities for the neighborhood kids. Frank never missed a chance to sit and watch the sunset.
Frank loved his Italian culture, family dinners, and his large family where cousins were more like siblings. He had lifelong friends from every stage of his life whether it was from school days, his first job, softball teams, fantasy football leagues, his time as a high school football official, neighborhood friends, co-workers, or nearly anyone he met. Frank was a loyal friend and told his friends often he loved them. He and Ali planned a June 2023 wedding surrounded by their friends and family.
The family would like to express our deepest appreciation for the way the Toledo Hospital Neuro ICU floor cared for Frank and our family with dignity and compassion.
