Frank L. Cosner, Jr., 74, of Deshler, OH passed away Saturday, July 25, 2025. He was born on January 19, 1951 in Toledo, OH to Frank L. and Cora Anna “Irene” (Crookham) Cosner, Sr. Frank graduated from Waite High School in Toledo, OH. Some of his nicknames were “Big Frank”, “Grandpa”, “Frankie”, and “Drinkman”.
Frank’s favorite job he ever had was working at the big freight liners “Big Ships”. He had multiple roles on the ships. He was always learning a new job on them. Frank’s hobbies included going to the train park in Deshler and watching the trains come in to the town. He was also a great asset and supporter of the train and historical museum in Deshler, OH. His last few years he worked for Teijin Automotive Technologies in North Baltimore, OH as a factory quality control leader.
Frank will always be remembered by his mouth with no filter. If he thought it, he spoke it. LOL! He will be remembered for his “Drinkman” title as well because he always had a packed cooler with different sodas and water wherever he went to a gathering.
His calls or texts to vent or to help calm him down will be missed as well. He got a little feisty! His last “Hoorah” with the 7 sheriff cars “chasing him” at the low speed of 28 miles/hour before he realized what was going on won’t be forgotten. Even as Frank’s health declined towards the end he would always light up when his daughter-in-law, Jessica, would show up. He really appreciated all of her help as a caregiver.
Frank is survived by his son, Frank L. (Jessica D.) Donnelly, Jr., brother, James N. Cosner, grandkids, Destiny Martin, Kara (Tadder) Rohda, Sarah (Jacob) Brown, and Paxton L. Donnelly and 5 great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sandy Norton, and grandbaby, Evan Michael-Lyndon Donnelly.
