Francis (Fritz) Edward Tresso, 80, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023. He was born in Toledo on August 26, 1943, to his late parents, Steven and Betty Tresso, where he grew up alongside his siblings. He attended Macomber High School and upon graduation, continued his education at the University of Toledo where he obtained a bachelor's degree in engineering. During his career, Fritz was a highly successful businessman and electrical engineer. He was previously employed at Hood Electric, High Voltage, and Advantage Electric, and most recently was the owner of FET Construction. He kept busy by staying involved as a member of NECA, the Illuminating Engineer Society, as well as the Electro Club. Fritz was also a lifelong Catholic and current parishioner at St. John XXIII Catholic Church.
Francis met and married his wife, then Connie Holland, after meeting her at the wedding of a mutual friend. Together they raised two daughters whom he loved dearly. Being a father and husband were of great importance to him. He was also a proud grandfather to his two grandchildren and will dearly be remembered for the impact he had on people. His intelligence was deeply rooted in him and it was sensed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Francis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Connie Tresso; daughters, Stephanie (Tony) Tresso-Celebrezze, Stacy Tresso (Carrie Hansen); his grandchildren, Anthony IV and Sophia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and brothers and sisters in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty; brothers, Robert and Steve.
All are welcome to visit at the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, OH, on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 3-8 p.m. Francis’ funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 24250 N Dixie Hwy, Perrysburg. Interment is private.
