Francis Joseph Newbold returned to heaven from whence he came on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. He leaves his family with many memories of the joy he brought with him. Francis loved to dance and his idol was Michael Jackson. He could moonwalk and do the Worm in his amazing unique way. He was also the BIGGEST University of Michigan fan. Francis was born with Downs Syndrome but never considered himself handicapped. He graduated from Larc Lane School and worked at Lott Industries for over 25 years, assembling parts and working hard. He was specially adored by his mother Veronica Frances Newbold who preceded him to heaven in 2004. His father, Robert H. Newbold is still living. Francis was blessed with a large family – Barbara Grycza (Stephen), Patricia Bayer (Jim 1), Robert T. Newbold (Mary), Leslie Cady (Jim 3), Kristine Devine (Jim 2), Joseph Newbold (Tammy), and Veronica AKA Vicky Hixson (Duane); and also many, MANY cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and even more friends and staff who worked with him mourning his absence. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday from 1-3 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1545 Eastgate Rd. Toledo, Ohio 43614 where a memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM. Special thanks for the tender care given to Frank by Shining Star. They made such a huge difference in his life. Also thank you to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. His family will be eternally grateful. Donations can be made to Camp Courageous in his name. He would love that! Condolences can be sent to the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com
