Frances Victoria Woods

Frances V. Woods was born, November 16, 1955, to Marjorie Williams and Edward L. Henry. She was later adopted by Isom Hoskins at the age of 9 years old.

Vickey attended Pickett Elementary School, McTigue Jr. High and Rogers High School graduating in June 1973. She then attended Grahm Jr. College and Boston College where she earned her associate degree in library science.

While attending college Vickey met her future husband, Allen M. Woods. Together they finished college, graduated and moved to Toledo.

They were married January 22, 1977. To that union 3 girls were born, Alana, Alexandria, and Anastasia. During that time Vickey worked for Toledo Lucas County Public Library for 13 years as a branch manager, then for the City of Toledo as a legislative librarian for 18 years before retiring. Al retired that same year as a Toledo Police Patrolman. Together they have enjoyed life, traveling and living with family.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband. Allen; daughters, Alana, Alex, and Anna; 3 grandchildren, Aiyanna, Amelia, and Azaleah; and great grandson, Darnell.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 1-2 pm at Walker Funeral Home. The Funeral Service for Vickey will begin in the funeral home at 2 pm.
