Frances Reau

Frances C. Reau, 79, of Oak Harbor, passed away, Friday, May 21, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 27, 1941 in Toledo, OH to Willard and Florence (Schultz) Heller. On August 4, 1968 she married Nelson Reau and he survives. Frances worked as an administrator in the State Parks system. She was a wonderful woman. Mean as a rattlesnake, soft as a caterpillar. Always there when needed, always there when wanted, and always there when not wanted. She put up with more than she should have and spent 60 years keeping kids in line and making us eat everything on our plates. She caused a lot of tears over the years. But never as many as now. We will miss her and love her. In addition to her loving husband, Nelson, she is survived by her sons, Barry (Lisa), William, David and Nelson (Jess) Reau, daughter, Jackie Reau, grandchildren, Taylor, Lindsey, Amber, William, Christina Williams, Nikita (Ricki) Zellner, David, Dalton (Chelsey), Alexis, and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara (Heller) Stein. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law, Tina (Brown) Reau. Cremation will take place under the direct care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. Services for Frances will be announced at a later date and interment will take place in Limestone Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Frances may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg or the Alzheimer’s Association.
