Frances Patricia Hennessy

Frances Patricia Hennessy, 93, of Toledo, died April 10, 2012 at Mercy St. Anne Hospital. She was born December 9, 1918 in Toledo. Frances was a homemaker and had previously been employed with the Toledo Water Company. A longtime member of Sylvania United Church of Christ, she loved the outdoors including gardening and bird watching. Frances was an avid card player especially Gin Rummy and liked to visit the casino to play slot machines. She was an excellent cook and will be fondly remembered for her friendly and gentle personality, always offering her time and empathetic ear to anyone in need. Left to cherish her memory are her children, who were her priority in life, Louanne, Shelley , Jeffrey Germaine and Timothy Shelley Jamie Hennessy; grandchildren, Streicher, Blase and Kurt Hennessy; sister, Virginia Bragg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon George Hennessy; and twelve siblings. Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2012 at Sylvania United Church of Christ, 7240 Erie Street, Sylvania, where additional visitation will be offered from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
