Frances A. Helle

Frances A. Helle, 94, of Genoa and formerly of Martin, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, Ohio.  She was born May 18, 1925, in Custar, Ohio, to Joseph L. and Theresa R. (Hentges) Schwab. On July 23, 1944, she married Frederick E. Helle and he preceded her in death in 1999. Frances was a homemaker and had been a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Bono, Ohio. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially her flowers.  Most recently she liked visiting with her friends and the staff at the Genoa Retirement Village. She is survived by her children, Karren (Alvin) Gates, John (Donna) Helle, and Kathleen (David) Geer, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four sisters, Marcella L. Wilhelm, Mildred M. Duncan, Jean M. Kramer and Beatrice R. Stringham. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019, in Elliston Cemetery, Graytown, by Fr.
