Frances M. Forthome

Frances M. Forthome, age 93 of Perrysburg formerly of Maumee passed away Saturday March 31, 2012 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born February 1, 1919 in Toledo to Francis and Lucille Spenthoff Verhelst. She was an admitting clerk for the former Mercy Hospital for many years. Fran was an active member of St. Joseph Church in Maumee where she was also a past officer of the Rosary Altar Society. The widow of Norman E. Forthome she was also preceded in death by her brother William Verhelst; grandson Derek Thomas Forthome; and great-great-granddaughter Annabella Parish. Fran is survived by her children Mary Ann John Eckhart, Tom Darnell Forthome, Kathleen Campbell, Patricia Forthome and Joseph Sylvia Forthome; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister Rita Euler; and dear friends Tiffany Eric Nicely and Ashlyn Nicely who lovingly called her Foo Foo. Friends may visit the family from 2-9 PM Tuesday in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee where funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 12:30 PM followed by the funeral mass at 1 PM in St. Josephs Church, Maumee. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7 PM in the funeral home. The family would like to especially thank the doctors and staff at Hospice and direct any memorials in Frans name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Toledo Humane Society.
