Frances Depner

Frances “Frannie” E. Depner, 89, of Oak Harbor passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. She was born on July 29, 1931 in Carroll Township, OH to Charles and Christina Marie (Dornbush) Dunkleman. She married Elmer Leon Depner and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1970. Frannie worked in the laundry department at the Riverview Nursing Home in Oak Harbor for 26 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor. Frannie enjoyed Sunday drives around the area and going shopping. Frannie is survived by her sons, Vernon and Edward Depner both of Oak Harbor, daughters, Carol Ann, Annette, and Karen Eileen Depner, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Donald, Howard, Eldon, and Leonard Dunkleman, and sisters, Leona and Florence Dunkleman. Private graveside services will be held for Frannie at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions in memory of Frannie may be given to St. Paul United Church of Christ or to the family in care of the funeral home to help with expenses.
