Frances A. Cooper

Frances Cooper, 94, died December 27, 2011, with her family by her side in Maumee, Ohio. Frances was born November 30, 1917 in Pana, Illinois to Julius and Theresa Schneider. In 1956, Frances and her husband, L. Kenneth, moved their family from Alton, Illinois to Toledo, Ohio. She worked as a bookkeeper at Owens-Illinois. After raising their three children, she remained a homemaker while L. Kenneth Cooper was an accountant for O-I. Frances interests included family, reading, and gardening. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother Theresa who passed away at age 93. Frances was a devout Catholic, formerly a member of Blessed Sacrament and Rosary Cathedral Catholic Church. Frances is survived by her son, Jay Cooper Molly and daughter Ellen Toffler Denny, her 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Kenneth; daughter, Mary Kay Stone; sisters Claire Radcliffe and Leone Campbell; brother, Edward Schneider; and two great-grandchildren, Noah Cooper and SarahBeuerlein. Visitation starts at noon with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Family graveside services will be held at St. Patricks Cemetery in Godfrey, Illinois at a later date.
