Fran Schramm

M. Frances Scheider-Schramm, better known to her many friends and family as Fran, went home to God on Saturday, February 13, 2010. She was 80 years young. She was born June 23, 1929 in Greenup, KY to Elijah and Maryland Quillen Wright as one of 10 siblings. Fran moved to the big city of Perrysburg, OH as a young woman where she happily settled in until the early 90s when she relocated to Sarasota, FL. Over the years, Fran was a bank teller for several local banks and a past member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Sarasota as well as Zoar Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was past president of the Altar Guild. Fran was incredibly devoted to her family and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. She will be forever remembered for her spirited, loving nature, her positive outlook, her boundless compassion for friends and neighbors, her rhubarb pie and her pancakes. In 1982, Fran lost her husband of 32 years, Dale Scheider. She later married Larry Schramm, who preceded her in death in 2007, after 17 happy years. Fran will be greatly missed by her beloved children Beverly Lynn Pala Balasubramanian of Ball Ground, GA and Richard Lisa Scheider of Holland, OH as well as 3 granddaughters, Melissa, Kris and Cassandra, 2 great grandsons, and her sister, Nancy George Lambroff. Additionally, Fran will be mourned by her step-daughters Sue Helmlinger and Paula Duane Haas as well as three step-grandsons, Wes, Tyler and Hunter. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 20th at 11:00am at Zoar Lutheran Church, Perrysburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Alzheimers Association, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Zoar Lutheran Church, Perrysburg, OH.
